When Eben Upton designed the Raspberry Pi he never imagined it would be so wildly popular. Originally he designed it to develop interest in computer coding for kids in England. He predicted selling a few thousand but in fact has sold hundreds of thousands worldwide. The Raspberry Pi has launched an interest in computer experimenting and coding not seen since the introduction of the ‘BBC Micro’ in December 1981.
