Field Day Update #01
Field Day Update #01 (9:00 AM EDT)

It’s Field Day 2026. The shelter at Greenwood Northwest Park Annex is quiet now, but the MARC FD Crew will be moving in shortly.
We’ll be putting up signage, setting out pitch-in goodies for our noontime meal and, most importantly, erecting antennas, setting up radios, off-grid power supplies, tuners & test equipment and logging computers for our ARRL Field Day activation.
Club members, licensed operators, potential “hams” and anyone interested in amateur radio are welcome to stop by. We’ll be on the air beginning at 2:00 this afternoon. You might be able to talk to someone half-way around the world! Learn about amateur radio’s role in assisting the National Weather Service in monitoring possible thunderstorms and tornados in our area. Find out how to send email to friends and family when power, cell phones and the internet go down in an emergency by using amateur radio.
MARC will be on-site and on-the-air until about 9:00 this evening. Watch for updates and photos throughout the day.
