An “Elmer” is the nickname in ham radio referring to a fellow ham who becomes a teacher, mentor, guide and friend to a younger or less experienced operator in some area of our hobby. If you are looking for help and need an Elmer to help guide your way, use the two tables below.
In the first table, find a topic that you need advice on and note the Elmer number(s). In the second table, find the Elmers by the numbers and get in touch with them. Also, check out the Officers & Coordinator Contacts list under the Welcome to MARC tab. Reach out to them; our Elmers, the glue that holds Amateur Radio together, are committed to helping, so please don’t hesitate.
